Agreement
By using Elmo, you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). If they conflict, the standard EULA and any rights the law gives you come first.
Not medical advice
Elmo gives estimates and planning tools for general information. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or replace advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. Food estimates, daily burn estimates and targets can be wrong, so use your own judgement and check important decisions with a professional.
Do not use Elmo to restrict what you eat if you have, or are recovering from, an eating disorder, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are under medical supervision, unless your clinician has said it is OK. If Elmo suggests a target below your safe minimum, it will warn you and ask before using it. Talk to a doctor before eating that little.
Subscriptions and free trials
Elmo needs an active subscription. Prices and subscription lengths are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
- Some plans offer a free trial to new subscribers. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Deleting the app or your Elmo account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Your account and content
You are responsible for your account and for what you submit. You keep ownership of your meals, photos and other content, and give us the limited permission we need to process it to run and improve Elmo, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse Elmo. That includes trying to break or overload its systems, sending automated or abusive traffic, pretending to be someone else, or breaking the law. We may limit or close access to protect people or the service.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Elmo reliable but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Elmo is provided “as is” without implied warranties, and Ark Tech LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. If you keep using Elmo after a change, the new terms apply.
